If you are looking for a timepiece as majestic as the Breitling Avenger Seawolf, with its 44mm solid titanium case, unidirectional bezel, automatic chronometre movement, and it’s unbelievable water resistance of 10,000 feet, or a watch as trifling as the Antonio Classic Men’s President Divers Submarine watch, with it’s stainless steel case back, and the “I would be afraid to wear it in a fog,” water resistance. There is only one place to go to find a great men’s diver watch, at some of the best prices available, and that place is… I’ll get to that in a second.

First, I would like to tell you about my shopping experience for a men’s divers watch. Don’t worry, I’ll keep it short.

I love to shop for watches. When my wife and I go into a store that has a watch counter on the premises, she knows that when she is finished with her shopping, she will be able to find me at that watch counter. This is when she will pry me from the glittering “man jewelry” by threatening to leave without me.

I am one of those guys who will hover over a watch counter, buzzing from brand to brand, style to style, and display to display for hours. Then, after seeing all the watches that the store has to offer, I will start all over again, but in reverse. Every once in a while, I will ask the assistant behind the counter to show me a piece that has caught my eye, but for the most part, I do not do this because I have seen most of them before and have no need to handle them.

In this story, that was not the case. My eyes landed on what I found to be a very unique watch that was just begging to be fondled. This watch was the Citizen Eco-Drive Men’s 200 Meter Professional Diver Aqualand. It’s bold, rugged look just barked out “Look at me!” So I asked the kind lady assistant if I may have a better look at it. She was so kind as to oblige.

After having that heavy, hunk of ticking “man jewelry” placed in my hands, I knew I just had to have it. The lady behind the counter could tell that I liked it as well. I don’t know if it was the drool that was hanging from the corner of my mouth or the glaze that came over my eyes that tipped her off, but she knew, and offered to help me put it on so that I could have a better “feel” for it. Where as, I so kind as to obliged

Fortunately, my wife had wrapped up her shopping and had come to the watch counter to find me. Not only did she find me, she found that I had a screwy grin on my face, and a new watch on my wrist. As her mind was not clouded with “watch lust,” she asked the one question I had neglected to ask, “How much is it?” Here is when the kind lady who helped me place this fine watch on my wrist told us, “Only $475.00, after the 10% discount.”

After seeing the look on my wifes face when she heard the price of the watch, I knew that it would be best to slip that watch off my wrist and hand it back to the assistant. So I did. That is when I saw the “You whipped cheap skate.” look on her face.

In the car, as we tooled down the road towards the house, my wife told me that she didn’t mind if I bought that watch, but there was no way on God’s green earth I was going to spend that much on it. Fine with me. Buying a new watch is nice, but it is even better when you can get that same watch for a lot less than what you can find it for in a store. As I am sure you have guessed by now, it is my belief that you can find the best deals, on just about anything, on the net.

That is just what I did. Not only did I get the watch that I wanted, I got if for less than half the price the kind lady behind the counter told me it would cost. All I had to do was overcome my “watch lust” and wait an extra day or two.
